You can learn a bit more about the story so far and what our previous consultation exercises have told us about your ideas for the site and thoughts on our emerging masterplan in the tiles below.
In the summer of 2019, we began to talk to the community about the future of the site.
We held a series of pop–up events at the O2 Centre which were an opportunity to meet the project team and hear about your ideas for the site.
December 2020 – January 2021
Our team of award-winning architects and landscape designers considered the feedback and we worked with London Borough of Camden to come up with some initial ideas and an emerging vision for the site.
In December 2020 we launched our next digital consultation on Commonplace with information on our emerging vision as well as each of the four key elements we think should inform our future masterplan.
During this time, over 6,500 people visited our Commonplace website and over 100 attended our online webinars where we answered your questions and asked our architects AHMM to present the early masterplan.
A summary of the feedback from this consultation exercise can be seen on our Consultation at a Glance (PDF). This also includes some of your most frequently asked questions, as well as a separate list (PDF) answering topics that we didn’t quite have time to cover at our webinars in January.
September 2020 – November 2020
Our vision for the site grew more ambitious and we worked with London Borough of Camden, the local authority, to progress some really exciting ideas about a comprehensive transformation of the area.
The Covid–19 pandemic had accelerated the changing ways that people shop, so we launched our first digital consultation on Commonplace to find out more about the local community’s priorities and ideas when it comes to shopping, travel, leisure, work, as well as how they felt about the O2 Centre and surrounding area.
